I really was happy for my cloth pads this time around, and I like Pink Lemonade brand. I used disposables in the hospital but have been pleasantly surprised by how much nicer cloth pads feel. They don’t sweat, stink, or stick! So easy to just rinse out and throw in my laundry and they’re so soft and pretty they’re just a little luxury every change.
These are great ideas. The best gifts are the free ones IMO though. My church does Meal Trains for 2 weeks for new moms, which is very appreciated. I loved it when a friend offered to take my older child for a afternoon playdate when the sibling was born. A friend offering to do a load of laundry, change the sheets, wash the dishes, or even keeping an eye on the baby while you get a shower & a nap would be awesome.
I LOVE the meal train, too! We have a lady assigned to each town at our church, and she makes the calls and usually gets 1-2 weeks of meals lined up. So incredibly helpful and a great blessing! Those diaper bags look amazing! Mine are always so heavy, I’m wondering if a backpack style would make it feel lighter.
I got lucky and had my mom around to help with my baby. It was nice having someone cook for me, or let me nap or shower without having to worry. So for any new mom, lunches or dinners would be a good gift.

Reusable nursing pads are utterly indispensable! I’d have loved to use mama cloth after birth if I’d had absorbent and large enough pads for postpartum (I only have liners).
