newCreation Apparel is one of my go-to places for comfortable, flattering skirts – which I like to wear any time of year. Boots and a skirt in the winter….sandals and a skirt in spring. To me, a denim skirt serves a couple of practical purposes. It’s a sturdy fabric that washes easily and wears well. It matches with almost anything. And it’s cooler on your legs in warm weather than a pair of jeans or capris.
The Natalie skirt is very popular because of the fit-and-flare style and diagonal stitching. newCreation gave it a fresh look for spring with a distressed wash that gives it a comfortable “broken in” look.

I’ve enjoyed my new denim skirt and wear it a few times a week. The only issue I have had is with the zipper, which is a first for me. Sigrid explained they switched from the hidden nylon zippers, which were harder to maneuver, to metal zippers. Mine was a little sticky near the top and takes some wiggling and coaxing to close. Update: A year later, I have experienced another issue with the zipper; it now some completely undone sometimes. Sigrid was very prompt and helpful as usual and apologize for the zipper failure (which is just a fluke that happens every once in a while) and offered to send a replacement.
