TEX MEX CORNBREAD AND BEEF

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 can (16 oz) Bold Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 cups self rising corn meal mix
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 small can chopped green chiles
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 400.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef until cooked thoroughly. Crumble and drain.
- Add Manwich and cumin, mix and heat through. Keep warm on stove top.
- In a large bowl, add corn meal, milk, oil, eggs, corn, chiles, spices and cheese.
- Pour into a 9x13 baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Cut cornbread into squares and spoon beef and sauce over the top.
