Everything to love about childhood can be found in The Highlights Book of Things to Do, a boredom-buster that inspires children to discover, explore, create, and do great things! This deluxe activity book is filled with over 530 activities to build, play, experiment, craft, cook, dream and think – all while helping kids become confident problem solvers and thoughtful people who can influence the world for good. There’s even an entire chapter devoted to outdoor activities (my favorite is how to play tag 5 different ways).
Published just this September, the book has been awarded Mom’s Choice Award – GOLD as well as The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval.
There is such a wide range of activities that it’s sure to please any child, no matter what his age or interests are!

I attempted to make a terrarium with my 4 year old grandson last year. He didn’t understand why it didn’t need a drink everyday🤣. I’m pretty sure it drowned! We might try this again over the winter.
Oh my, that’s funny! ~Anne Marie

I used to subscribe to the Highlights magazines growing up. This sounds like a great book to keep little ones occupied. The hanging garden sounds fun.
This book looks pretty handy especially for moms like me who have many kids. I have something like this that I used when I homeschooled my children.
What a beautiful book, great for little ones. My youngest is a science lover and he is actually growing some plants for school, this is absolutely great!
We love reading Christmas books to our children!

This sounds like such fun. Is there a suggested age range? Curious if the activities would be suitable for my 5 year old. 🙂
It’s recommended for grades 2 to 6, but that’s just a suggestion. – Anne Marie
