In a house with children, you might often feel like snack time is all the time. But this is even more true when your family is out and about, so it makes a lot of sense to opt for easy-to-pack foods. Here are some of our favorites!
Luckybar. This delicious protein bar aims to please even the pickiest eaters, so your children are sure to find a flavor they love. Choose from: Chocolate Campfire, Cosmic Chocolate Caramel Almond, Crazy Coconut, Pirate Peanut Butter Chocolate and Strawberry Sandcastles. Not only are they low in sugar, carbohydrates, fat and sodium but they also have no fillers, gluten or preservatives and are the only children’s snack bar that has more protein than 2 large eggs.
The PAW Patrol packaging makes them extra fun. The small, square shape means they’re easy and quick to eat; no slowing you down on outings! That added protein (and no fillers) means they won’t be bothering you again an hour later saying “I’m hungry!”
Loacker Gelato Wafers: Featuring one layer of luscious lemon, vanilla or hazelnut crème between two light and crispy Loacker wafers, everyone will enjoy these sweet little pick-me-ups. My favorite variety – the lemon creme – is made using essential oils from Sicilian lemons and real lemon juice. Vanilla is crafted using genuine vanilla pods with no artificial flavorings. Originally created to be paired with gelato, Loacker wafers are also delicious dipped in yogurt, ice cream or sherbet.
Welch’s Fruit Snacks: Available in a variety of delicious summer flavors (think Mixed Fruit, Berries n’ Cherries, Fruit Punch, SuperFruit and more), Welch’s snacks are made with real fruit, and have no preservatives or fat. Fruit snacks are SO easy to pack due to their small size and are a guaranteed pleaser from toddlers up to teens. I love the luscious new Apple Orchard Medley variety and treat myself sometimes to get that 100% Vitamin C allotment for the day.
Bagel Thins with Toppings: Handy if someone in the family has a tree nut allergy, Bagel Thins are delicious alone or spread with your favorite topping like cream cheese, Nutella, hard cheese slices, or almond butter. After spreading, put together (facing each other) and store in reusable cloth snack bags or plastic sandwich bags.
Sparkling Ice: And what’s a summer outing without a refreshing beverage? How about one that comes with a surprise, like the newest Mystery Flavor from Sparkling Ice? Your children will have fun guessing what it is by using their taste buds. Sparkling Ice is a naturally flavored carbonated water with no sugar or artificial colors, so you can pack it for your family guilt-free. 🙂 The tall skinny bottles fit easily into the side pocket of pretty much any tote, or even the bottle slots of your diaper bag.
