You are going to love the cloth diapering store I’m featuring today! Michelle at My Tajo’s is a WAHM of three children, including a little baby boy named Tajo. He’s the inspiration behind her shop and serves as an official tester of all the products.
Says Michelle: “As a mom of three I am always searching for wonderful products for my babies and now yours as well! Our products come from many different areas around the world such as Pakistan, China, Japan, and the US. I am working hard to find the very best there is at reasonable cost for all of you.” You can read more about how conscientious Michelle is in making sure that the suppliers she works with maintain standards of ethics and excellence.
Other products you’ll find at My Tajo’s include diaper covers, AI2 diapers, organic flat diapers, cotton velour fitteds, baby shoes, slings and mama pads. Here’s the very chic black-and-white diaper that we were sent to try Susanna and Samuel. It’s a “one size” diaper with 3 snap settings on the rise:
The insert that comes with each Tajos pocket is very unique. It’s made of one layer of organic bamboo jersey, a middle layer of bamboo and one more outer layer of organic bamboo fleece. So you can put either jersey or fleece (for a stay dry effect) against baby’s skin. Or, you can completely stuff it inside the pocket. I love all the options!
I was super pleased with the cute, trim fit of our Tajos pocket, both on Susanna (20 pounds) and Samuel (30 pounds):
Here’s what we love about our Tajos Tushies pocket:
- The square-shaped tabs are easy to hold and fasten and the placement of the hip snaps gives you a great fit around the waist and the legs.
- The pocket is large and easy to stuff.
- The bamboo insert is made of natural fiber and is super soft – and you don’t have to stuff it if you don’t want to.
- The insert is more absorbent than the standard microfiber inserts that come with most pocket diapers.
- The bright colors and contrasting black snaps make these some really beautiful diapers!
I couldn’t find any shortcomings with our Tajos Tushies pocket diaper, or I would share them with you here. Granted, the bamboo insert takes longer to dry than a microfiber insert, but it’s not excessively long. I’m a really big fan of natural fibers and I don’t see a slightly longer drying time as a shortcoming. It just comes with the territory. The boost in absorbency that you get is well worth it!
