We use a lot of cloth wipes around here, and I like something besides just water to clean and freshen up the baby. And that’s where Dallas at Little Love Buns comes in! If you’re not familiar with Little Love Buns, it’s an eco-friendly diapering store with a mission to create healthy and good-for-the-earth methods of cleaning. At Little Love Buns you’ll find cloth diaper detergent, rapid-melt wipe bits, soap, wet bags and wipes AND an entire line of Lovely Pocket Diapers. I’ve not tried the Lovely Pocket Diapers yet but Dallas says they are “something to RAVE about!” because of the double row waist snaps, 4 rise snaps, double leg gussets and $12.00 price tag.
And coming soon to Little Love Buns…..nursing pads and cleaning products for your home!
We received some Lavender Vanilla Wipe Bits from Little Love Buns to try out. Dallas did her own experimenting to formulate her wipe bits so that they wouldn’t be irritating to her children’s skin, and yet still get the job done.
Each “bit” is just a little smaller than penny; they are made with gentle goat milk soap and are molded into the shapes of tiny flowers. The available scents are Strawberry Watermelon, Sweet Pea, Pink Sugar, Cucumber Melon, Cherry Almond and Peach Mango. Other scents (like the Lavender Vanilla that I received) are available by email request!
The instructions are very easy to follow:
I dropped 5 bits into 1 cup (8 oz) of hot water:
After gently swishing my finger in the water, the wipe bits melted within 20 seconds. Very easy!
The 8 ounces of wipes solution was just enough to moisten 6 cloth wipes, which I rolled up and placed in my warmer:
To fill up the warmer, I would just need to prepare a “double” batch with 2 cups of water and 6-10 wipe bits.
I love everything about these wipe bits and wouldn’t change a thing! The price is unbeatable – for just $5.75 you get 50 wipe bits which will render sixteen of the 8-ounce batches of solution. And I really like how gentle the goat milk soap is while still doing a great job cleaning. The fragrance is pleasant but not too strong.
Dallas has other suggestions for using her wipe bits: as hand soap “on the go,” for soaking in the bath or for creating a relaxing foot soak.
Our package also contained a bag of Little Love Buns diaper detergent to try out:
Dallas created her detergent after facing many of the same problems that cloth diapering mothers do at some point – odors, stains, build-up and skin irritation. I tested the Little Love Buns detergent on 2 days worth of stinky diapers from my baby and my toddler and they came out of the wash 100% fresh and clean the first time. I also liked how the pleasant “Sweet Pea” fragrance lingered ever so faintly on the diapers even after they came out of the dryer.
My Little Love Buns detergent didn’t clump up in the water; it dissolved quickly and easily.
And here’s something that just cannot be stressed enough: the price of Little Love Buns detergent is amazing! If you have a high-efficiency washer, the 96-load bag (at $9.50 with shipping of $6.00) will render a load cost of just 16 cents! There’s no other natural detergent on the market that I know of that can match the price of Little Love Buns! Granted, I love how Tide cleans our clothes and diapers, and how I can buy it locally, but even Tide costs me about 23 cents per load.
We’ve had a such a good experience with our Little Love Buns products that I can very enthusiastically recommend them to you! Please take a quick moment to browse the Little Love Buns store and see if something catches your eye.
