Thanks to Rosanne at Bare Body Soaps, our family is enjoying handmade cold process soap this week. Her motto is “We care for what’s bare” and that is evident from the fact that all Bare Body soaps are made with natural, nourishing, certified organic ingredients. Our family got to try a bar of Lemon Verbena, which we used in the kitchen, and Oatmeal, which I tried out on Susanna and Samuel, my littlest ones. The beautiful green flecks you see in the bar of Lemon Verbena are dill weed and the soap is naturally colored with organic turmeric.
We have all been very pleased with the generous size of the bars, the rich lather, wonderful scents and gentle ingredients!
I truly appreciate Rosanne’s mission to minimize the toxins her family is exposed to, as well as the way she drew inspiration for her soaps from the clean air and blue skies of rural Wyoming. We also live in the country, and being so close to creation and it’s simple goodness really does give you a fresh perspective.
The ingredients in Bare Body Soaps are coaxed from the wholesome bounty of the Earth; lovely things like olive oil, coconut oil and palm oil top the list, and then each different soap includes a variety of essential oils with beneficial properties. Lavender to calm, oatmeal to soothe, rosemary and mint to invigorate and so on. Each 4 ounce bar is $5.00 and is hand crafted with certificate vegan and cruelty-free ingredients.
I mentioned that I reserved the Bare Body Oatmeal Soap for Susanna and Samuel, since they are my “babies.” Seven-month-old Susanna is in the throes of teething right now, so she often wakes up mighty grumpy with an itchy red rash on her bottom. Usually, I just bathe the rash with plain warm water, but yesterday I decided to try the Bare Body Oatmeal Soap, since I’ve read that oatmeal can soothe inflamed skin.
I lathered up little Susanna from her curls to her toes (since the oatmeal soap also contains olive and coconut oils I figured it would be great for her hair and not just her skin). After I dried Susanna off and checked her diaper area, I saw drastic improvement. Most of the redness had subsided and the little bumps had almost disappeared! I then applied diaper-safe rash cream (Tiny Tuchus, my all-time favorite) to finish the job.
My experience with Bare Body Soaps has certainly been 5-star so I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to you!
